Now that I’m back at work, I have to get readjusted to my schedule. I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday, but hey, it’s never too late! I I hope you all are keeping up and continuing to reflect on your blessing daily! One thing that I noticed this week is that my 5 things have nothing to do with my Lupus…that’s because this week was one of the most normal weeks that I’ve had in a long time! Praise God! Now, I did have a doctor appointment and a pulmonary function exam on Tuesday, but they both went great! While I am so grateful for  improved health, there were so many other awesome things happening this week too–I didn’t know where to fit health news! I guess it doesn’t matter since I found a lovely spot here:D Comment below and let me know of some amazing things that happened to you this week!

Groupon

I can’t help but get excited by the thought of saving money, and Groupon has definitely done that for me this week! As my last week at home before going back to work (that went by quickly!) I tried my best to see as many friends as possible–costs money! Not only did Groupon offer great deals for restaurant outings nearby, but they also offered an additional 20% the already great deal! Great food at a fraction of the cost?! I couldn’t resist!

Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone

Prior to deciding to lay off of tutoring for a while, I was reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets with one of my students. Since he’d already read The Sorcerer’s Stone, I promised him that he could come over to my house during Spring Break, and we could watch the movie together. He, his mother, and his sister all came over and we enjoyed the movie with juice, popcorn, and fellowship. My 11 year-old nephew joined us as well! The two boys talked about MindCraft throughout the entire film, but at least I know they had a good time!

Paint Nite

On Saturday, I traveled to the city to enjoy a wonderful afternoon with some friends at a Paint Nite event. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Paint Nite is an event where you enjoy food and beverages while following directions from an artist. By the end of the event, everyone walks away with a variation of the same painting to hang on their wall at home! While I was unable to enjoy the food and drink (I started my Invisalign treatment this week and didn’t want to go through the trouble of taking out my aligners), I definitely enjoyed the time spent with my girls and I must say, my painting is pretty awesome!

Easter Sunday

Yesterday was an absolutely amazing time spent celebrating the resurrection of Jesus! Church was awesome, the weather was beautiful, and the time spent with my family was priceless. While driving to church, I couldn’t help but admire all of the people who were clearly going to church. Everyone was wearing their “Sunday’s Best” and looked so beautiful and handsome! Churches were packed…and it was all to give Him glory!

Celebrating Love

My friend from Grad School got married this week! I haven’t been to a wedding in a while, let alone out to dance and have a good time, so I really enjoyed the event! The venue, Sand Castle out in Long Island, was so beautiful, the food was delectable, and the entertainment was top notch. Not only did I get to witness her union with a man who is perfect for her, I was able to enjoy time with my love as well!

  3. I am glad you had so many things to be thankful for and that you felt well enough to enjoy them–blessings wrapped inside blessings. Your painting turned out so well! It is so much fun to be with kids when they are having fun. And of course, HE IS RISEN! It just doesn’t get any better than that!
